The principal advisor and the key person at Vidya Vanam, Mrs Rangachary has extensive background and experience in education of children and adults. She has played a key role in the development of the Balwadi program in and around Anaikatti. She has been trained in Oxford, UK, to teach English as a second language. She has conducted numerous workshops to management in the corporate world, and devised novel tools to teach children from various cultural and economic backgrounds. Mrs Rangachary is an adhoc reviewer of books for “The Hindu” and contributed articles for their magazine section. Mrs Rangachary continues to train teachers, challenging conventional methods of imparting knowledge. Mrs Rangachary has personally trained the teachers who are now at Vidya Vanam.
A graduate in Zoology, from Avinashalingam College, Coimbatore Mrs Vaidehi has undergone training in Montessori Methods at Erode, Tamil Nadu. She has also undergone training in using activity based learning material and the Glenn Doman methods of teaching.
After finishing her high school diploma, she has undergone one year training in Montessori Method at Coimbatore. Prior to arriving at Anaikatti, she was teaching grade 3 class at the Swami Dayanandha Higher Secondary School, Manjakudi, Tanjore district. She has undergone training in Montessori Methods at Erode, Tamil Nadu. She has also undergone training in using activity based learning material and the Glenn Doman methods of teaching.
After completing her higher secondary school education, she has taken courses in typing, accountancy, computer skills. She has undertaken training in Montessori Methods at Erode. She has also undergone training in using activity based learning material and the Glenn Doman methods of teaching. Prior to arrival at Vidya Vanam, she was a teacher at G.T.R. school at Anaikatti.
Recruited for her commitment to the betterment of tribal children, Mrs. Chitra plays a key role in assisting the teachers in preparing learning materials and as a bridge to the tribal families.
Kavitha Jayaram is the class teacher for the Banyan group. Following her completion in M.Phil and doing a stint with the Singapore School system, she is now back in her home base and we are happy to have her in our team.
Asim Maiti, hails from Bengal and has completed his post graduate training at Shanthi Nikethan, Vishwa Bharathi University. Although he has focused on clay, ceramic and wood sculpture for his graduate thesis, he is an all rounder, versatile in many artistic mediums. A new comer to the South, he has taken to the children and the region with all eagerness and gusto. He has many visions and plans for the incorporation of art into Vidya Vanam and to the community around
